VClock is an alternative to traditional studio clocks - a perfect replacement for MSF radio-controlled
"Rugby" clocks (the transmitter for which was moved from Rugby to Cumbria, making the data unavailable
at many sites in the South of England) - and the indicator lamp panel that was traditionally found on
the wall of a Radio Studio. It's a software application that gets its time from the computer clock
(which can in turn be synchronised to your station playout system and the internet) and its indicators
can be controlled by external devices (such as GPIs, Serial or IP data).
The basic VClock tells the time in analogue and digital formats, offers the "English" way to read it
(other languages can be added), and display backtimings to several junctions in the hour if required.
It can display your Station Logo (or the studio name) on the clock face, and each lamp can show an image
rather than a caption.
VClock displays up to 8 lamps (4 on a 4x3 monitor) which are completely configurable and can be turned
on / off or made to flash when external triggers (such as a Mic Live signal from a mixing console) are received.
The intelligent scripting language allows you to change the colours/states of the lamps, clock, background
at startup, and can be made to completely change all settings upon reception of a GPI, etc.
VClock is available as a free download which is fully functional apart from
the inability to change the Caption / Add an Image, or to use the external interfaces
(GPI, Serial, IP) to control the on-screen lamps. An 'unlicenced' message
appears on the face of the free version.
